Super Moist Banana Nut Bread

Super Moist Banana Nut Bread – This is the best banana bread in town, using one pot and simple ingredients. You’re only an hour away from moist, slightly sweet, delicious banana bread! If you have stained bananas lying around, this recipe is for you. Similar to my classic banana bread and our family favorite banana bread muffins, only topped with walnuts to tone down the butter.

Today I am very excited to share the best banana nut bread recipe because the truth is that I love banana bread with nuts. Some people are banana bread purists and others prefer chocolate chips, but I’m in the nuts category (although to be honest, I’ve never met a banana bread I didn’t like). This is a delicious, flavorful, moist banana bread recipe that is almost fail-safe. It is a symbol of well-being and happiness and at the end of the week, I always end up with a white banana.

Super Moist Banana Nut Bread

I created this recipe using certain ingredients to keep this dish as moist as possible. Things like mashed bananas, ghee, butter, and oil all add moisture to banana bread so that it’s still soft and delicious when baked. Also, watch the clock when you cook it so you don’t overcook! Banana bread that is overcooked, dark and dry is not tasty.

I use this light colored baking pan that doesn’t brown the sides too quickly. Since the bread usually takes about an hour in the oven, you want to limit how brown the sides get. If you use a non-stick, black cast iron pan, you will end up with shiny edges. If you like rough edges, more power to you. But, I like soft bread all the way and I find that a light brown bread pan is the way to go. If you take your bread out of the pan and it has a few brown spots, wrap it in plastic while chilling (not stirring and warming) for an hour or two. This will smooth those edges.

Nuts have oil in them and if they sit on your pantry shelf for too long, that oil will go bad. This goes for any nut, not just walnuts! If you try the walnuts in the package, you should be able to tell if it’s gone. (It should have a strong, unpleasant aroma.) Since part of this recipe is peanuts and the other part is actually nuts, you want to make sure to use the sweetest and freshest ones.

This is just a rule of thumb for any recipe. If you want clean and beautiful pieces, wait until they are completely cooled. If you really don’t care, delete! Hot banana bread is hard to beat, even if it’s not picture perfect.

My banana nut bread recipe obviously calls for walnuts (old fashioned) but be sure to check out my routine below. For complete recipe details and ingredient measurements, see the printable recipe card below.

Add the dry ingredients with the butter a little at a time until a uniform batter comes together. Add chopped walnuts by hand. Pour into prepared loaf pan and top with additional nuts.

Cook until a toothpick comes out clean with a few moist crumbs attached. Cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from the hot pan and slicing.

Store any uncooked banana bread in a ziplock bag or airtight container to retain as much moisture and softness as possible, usually 4 days on the counter. After that, the food is still ready, you will see its dryness a little.

This is my favorite banana bread recipe, which I have enjoyed for years. This is one of those classic recipes that you know by heart, like a good pie recipe or a chocolate chip cookie recipe. This dish first comes to mind when I have a stained banana on the counter and an ever-changing loaf of bread in my fridge. The best banana bread recipe ever and if you haven’t tried it yet, now is the time.

I have tried many banana bread recipes and this is my favorite. The students also fell in love! What makes it so good? This banana bread has more bananas than any banana bread I’ve ever made. 2 whole cups mashed bananas, which is 4 large bananas. The extra banana adds more moisture and flavor to the finished product.

Did you know you can use your electric mixer to mash bananas? Peel or cut the banana into large chunks and add to the bowl of your stand mixer – or use a standard mixing bowl and your hand mixer. Start beating slowly, then gradually build up to a higher speed as the banana breaks down into shredded banana. Transfer the bananas to another bowl and use a bowl to mix the banana bread ingredients. (No need to peel it – some banana slices are fine.)

For banana nut bread, add 3/4 cup chopped nuts to the bread pan; I like using pecans and walnuts. I really like their sweetness, softness and little crunch on soft banana bread slices. Feel free to skip them altogether if you’re not a fan of banana bread!

I got a lot of questions about freezing banana bread when I posted the recipe, so let me share what works. You can freeze banana bread using these tips to keep the flavor and texture fresh for months!

Overall, this is an easy recipe for classic banana bread. The ingredients take about 10 minutes to mix, the bread stays moist for days, and nothing beats the smell of fresh banana bread in the oven. (Except, maybe, apple cinnamon bread… try another one!)

Cooking banana bread with oil gives great results! The key is to use a neutral oil such as canola oil or vegetable oil. I do not recommend using olive oil as it will affect the taste.

The best way to tell when it’s done is to stick a toothpick in the middle of the bread and see if anything sticks. If there is only a liquid in the tooth, then the meal is done.

First, make sure you grease the pan well. I like to use a cooking spray made for baking with flour –
