Once it’s combined, we fold in fresh whipped cream to make a fresh mixture. You can also use Thawed Cool Whip, but when it comes to banana pudding, I really think it’s a simple dish because it needs to brighten up the flavor, so I prefer fresh whipped cream.
This special dessert is layered in a pan which makes serving a breeze because you can cut it into squares as shown in the picture – super simple! You’ll start by adding a layer of blue wafers to a lightly oiled baking dish, followed by a layer of chopped peanuts, then a layer of half the pudding mix. Repeat your layers and finish with a layer of reserved whipped cream Cover and refrigerate overnight – the hard part of this recipe awaits!
