I have made much healthier choices over the past few weeks. Over the past few months, I have noticed that my energy levels fluctuate significantly every day. When analyzing my diet, I noticed that the consumption of refined sugar and flour is higher than usual.

I have a very clean and balanced diet. My breakfasts often consist of smoothies or oatmeal at night, and my lunches and dinners always include some vegetables (unless I enjoy lasagna). As a snack, I always have homemade protein bars or energy balls. However, with all the baking I’ve been making lately, I’ve found myself swapping out my regular breakfasts for something sweeter.
My regular breakfasts have been replaced with either banana bread or zucchini bread. Useful and healthy in my books, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a little more wheat and sugar than usual. No wonder I suffer from morning accidents. To fix this, I made a few sensible substitutions, and I’ve been really enjoying this super healthy banana bread lately.
I have been wanting to share this healthy banana oatmeal bread recipe for a long time. It uses wholesome and wholesome ingredients and uses only 5 ingredients. No pure sugar and no need for flour, but you never know. The texture is thick, slightly moist, with a delicate crumb. It’s naturally sweet but not overly sweet, making it perfect for a healthy dessert or even breakfast.
While this bread doesn’t look like your traditional moist and fluffy banana bread, it’s hearty and sweet enough to satisfy your sugar-free baking cravings!
Healthy Oatmeal Banana Muffins
In a high speed blender or food processor, add all ingredients and blend until a smooth batter remains. If your dough is too thick, you can add some almond milk or oatmeal to thin it out. Then add chocolate chips if you are using them.
Now transfer to a greased bread pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the skewer comes out almost clean. Let the bread cool completely before slicing.

VEGAN? This recipe is easy to adapt to vegan banana bread. Simply replace the butter with a dairy-free butter spread or coconut oil. Replace milk with almond or coconut milk. Then use “flax eggs” or store-bought vegan eggs instead of eggs.
You can make flaxseed eggs or tea by mixing 6 tablespoons water + 2 tablespoons ground seeds. Let the mixture sit and thicken for 10 minutes before using it in a recipe.
