The beauty of this banana recipe is that you don’t need a blender! A mixing bowl, a fork for beating the eggs and a sturdy spoon for mixing the batter are all you need. The amount of sugar is variable. The original recipe called for one cup of white sugar, but most people, myself included, do well with 3/4 cup, and many are happy with 1/2 cup.
You can add a cup of nuts, raisins or chocolate chips if you like, or put the batter in muffin tins and make banana nut muffins instead. You can go a step further and make chocolate banana bread.

Moist Banana Walnut Bread
This recipe calls for an 8 x 4 inch loaf pan that makes a tall heart. The recipe will also work in an 8 1/2- by 4 1/2-inch loaf pan and will create a slightly shorter loaf. Since the pan is a little bigger, the cooking time is shorter: 47 to 57 minutes. A 9 x 5-inch pan will make a short but still delicious loaf; Bake for 45-55 minutes.
No mixer needed for this recipe! Cleaning is also easy. If you want, you can mix everything in one bowl.

Today I am very excited to share the Best Banana Bread Recipe because honestly, I love banana bread with nuts. Some people like banana bread, and others like chocolate chip, but I’m in the nut group (although, to be honest, I’ve never met a banana bread I didn’t like). This is a delicious, flexible, moist banana bread recipe that takes almost no time to make. It is the essence of comfort and happiness, and I always find bananas around at the end of the week.
I created this recipe using special ingredients to keep this bread as moist as possible. Things like mashed bananas, butter, oil, and buttermilk add moisture to banana bread so it stays soft and fluffy when baked. Also, watch the clock while cooking this so you don’t overcook it! Baked, dark and dry banana bread is not tasty.
Moist And Easy Banana Nut Bread
I use this bright light, the edges do not darken as quickly. Since scones usually take about an hour in the oven, you’ll want to limit how brown the side is. If you use a non-stick, dark metal pan, you will end up with real edges. If you like crispy edges, then more power to you. But I love the cake all the way through, and I find that a baked cake is the way to go. If you take your bread out of the pan and it has a few edges, wrap it in plastic wrap for an hour or two while it’s still warm (not to be confused with hot). This softens the edges upwards.
Olives contain oil, and if they’ve been sitting in your closet for a while, that oil will go bad. This goes for all nuts, not just nuts! If you try a nut out of the package, you should know that it is bad. (It should be strong, not uncomfortable.) Since half of this recipe is bananas and the other half is mostly nuts, you want to use the tastiest and freshest ones.
This is just a rule of thumb for any baking recipe. If you want clean and good slices, wait until it cools completely. If you really don’t care, cut it! Although warm banana bread isn’t perfect, it’s hard to beat.

Gradually add the dry ingredients with the buttermilk until a smooth dough comes together. Stir in chopped walnuts by hand. Pour into the prepared baking dish and top with more nuts.
Bake until a toothpick comes out clean with a few moist crumbs attached. Cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from the hot pan and slicing.

Store uneaten banana bread in a ziplock bag or airtight container to keep it moist and fresh for as long as possible, usually 4 days on the shelf. After that, the food is still good, you will notice that it is a little dry.
