Simply put, “ice cream” banana ice cream is made with frozen bananas! I call it “ice cream” because while it’s technically not ice cream, it still has the same creamy texture and delicious banana flavor! It’s called “good cream” because it’s a healthier version and it’s made with “naner” as some people call bananas.

You can make ice cream with bananas, but again technically it’s not ice cream. Traditional ice cream is made with sugar, cream and sometimes even eggs. Banana ice-cream? Just a banana!

But if you are a banana lover, this is sure to satisfy your craving for ice cream. Banana ice cream is creamy, velvety, delicious and really easy to make!

You just need two things to make banana ice cream: frozen bananas and a high-powered food processor / blender. And it takes about 5 minutes to prepare!

Freeze your bananas. Make sure you peel and slice before freezing so it’s easier to mix!

Add to your food processor. I like to use a food processor because I don’t have to add liquid to blend, so it stays creamier. But you can also do this in a blender – make sure you have one that has a tamper type so you can move the ice cream around.

It’s not just the banana base, but the cherry too that adds a nice complexity to the flavor. Of course we also added some cocoa powder to make it even better with chocolate!

Add the bananas and cherries to the food processor and blend until they start to turn creamy. Add the avocado and cocoa powder and work until smooth. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy your meal!

And finally … mint fries! Mint has never been my favorite, but it has become an obsession in recent years. Whatever my mint chocolate flavor is here! Here’s my healthy version of mint ice cream – you’ll love it!

Add all the ingredients to the food processor and work the above until smooth and creamy. Scrape along the sides as needed. Serve with cocoa nibs or chocolate chips on top!

Frozen Bananas Make A Sweet Treat That’s Like Ice Cream

To make the best banana ice cream, it is important to use very ripe bananas. To rip bananas quickly, store them in a loosely sealed brown paper bag.

You need whole milk for the recipe. If you don’t want to buy a whole carton of milk, you can use 1 cup of skim or low-fat milk plus 1/2 cup of cream.

Cut the bananas into 1/2-inch pieces and combine them with the brown sugar and butter in a 2-quart pan.

Immediately transfer the caramelized banana to a blender or food processor (if you wait too long, the caramel will start to harden).
