The dough couldn’t be simpler – oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, a bit of melted butter and a bit of cinnamon – and the result is even more amazing.

These blueberry muffins are soft, moist and fluffy. You’ll find them perfect as an afternoon snack with a cup of black coffee with yogurt.

A light amount of butter makes blueberry muffins rich but not too rich to earn the “healthy” label, and a handful of oatmeal gives them a more satisfying texture.

I use fresh blueberries when they are at the height of summer, but you can absolutely substitute them in frozen and enjoy these blueberries year-round.
