Healthy Cinnamon Banana Bread Recipe – A delicious breakfast or savory dessert that is also paleo and gluten free. I’m a big fan of banana bread (check out my Single Serve Banana Bread here or my Zucchini Banana Bread Bites here ), so I’m always up for a new banana bread recipe. The best part about banana bread is that so many flavors complement each other. Chocolate chips, blueberries, peanut butter – you can add a lot of things to your batter. This time I went with a cinnamon and sugar medium. It turned out so tasty. Pus Cinnamon Banana Bread tastes so inviting!

This recipe is relatively simple to make. I used 2 mini loaves because I think it makes the edges very crispy. Kind of like one of those brownie pans that make all the brownie rims. I love it when you get a good bake that’s a little crispy on the outside but super soft in the middle. However, you can double the recipe to make regular bread.

One of my favorite parts of this recipe is the layer of cinnamon sugar in the middle. I made a small portion of a cinnamon sugar mixture (1/4 cup coconut sugar + 1/2 cinnamon) in a small tub. To add to the bread, I added 1/2 of the banana bread to the greased bread.

I added about 3/4 of the cinnamon sugar mixture. I wanted to leave some to sprinkle on top.

Next, I added the remaining dough on top. I took a knife and smoothed the top for a more even bread.

As I said above, you can double this recipe to make regular bread. You should set the cooking time to about 50-55 minutes. Or you can cut the recipe in half and make a single serving recipe in a small dish, like a ramekin. For the cooking time of a mini bread, it would be more or less the same. Check at 35 minutes just to be sure. This cinnamon banana bread is delicious in any form!

An Easy And Healthy Banana Bread Recipe

Banana bread: ripe bananas, almond flour, tapioca flour, pure maple syrup, baking powder, sea salt. This combination results in an incredibly moist banana bread that’s perfectly sweet for those of us who like our sugar on the lighter end of the spectrum.

Cinnamon Swirl: Almond flour, raw walnuts, coconut sugar, ground cinnamon, sea salt and coconut oil. This combination produces a beautiful crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth swirl of super cinnamon streusel that will simply brighten your day!

The process of making this bread is simple: we prepare a cinnamon swirl / streusel topping and a banana bread dough. We mix, we cook, we love it!

In a bowl, mix the ingredients for the cinnamon swirl until well combined and set aside until ready to use.

Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls (gluten Free)

Add the banana bread ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth (note: you can make the batter in a bowl by mashing and blending everything if you don’t have a high power blender).

Pour half of the banana bread batter into the parchment lined pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon swirl mixture. Pour the remaining banana bread batter on top and smooth into an even layer. Sprinkle the top with the remaining streusel.

Fire on the center of the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the bread from the oven and cover with aluminum foil. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bread is cooked.

Low Fat Banana Bread

Wow, the best paleo breakfast bread I have ever made! It was my first time using a blender for quick bread dough and I think it gave a smoother texture which I liked. Question: How does your almond flour keep in the freezer?

@Andrea, I freeze all my breads made with cashew flour and they are just as good from the freezer.

I’m so glad you liked it Andrea! I find that all of my almond flour products keep very well in the freezer. We are simply heated in the microwave for 30-50 seconds directly from the freezer (no defrosting required). This banana bread is unique compared to the others here on the blog. It’s a little more cake-like and has just the right amount of “moist” texture.
