Healthy Banana Nut Bread Muffins Recipe – These Whole Wheat Banana Muffins are easy, healthy, and satisfying. Moist and flavorful like a classic banana muffin, but made with whole wheat flour, pure maple syrup, coconut butter, and whole grains.

I originally published this recipe in 2018 and have made it dozens of times since then. I started adjusting the yeast so that the jars would rise a little, be a little sweet, and not have the chemical reaction of the excess baking soda. Also, I added a little milk to keep the milk from thickening. The printable recipe below includes these minor changes. I know you will love the muffins even more!

Like whole wheat banana bread, muffins are now moist, delicious and delicious. They are also kid friendly. If there’s one thing I love more than anything, it’s healthy muffins. I have been making these healthy banana milk muffins for years and the girls love them. They don’t think it’s “healthy”, so they serve it when they eat.

They are sugar and fat free! These muffins are naturally sweetened with the addition of honey and the natural sweetness of ripe bananas. Overripe bananas are the key to moist and sweet banana muffins!

To make these delicious muffins, combine the dry ingredients in one bowl and mix the wet ingredients in another. Next, combine the two.

Transfer the batter to a 12-well pan lined with parchment paper or greased. Sprinkle with crushed oats and dash of cinnamon (additional step).

Simple, healthy and easy to make. This banana milkshake is moist and delicious and can also be made gluten-free.

If you haven’t tried adding nuts to your muffins, now is the time! It gives them that little extra crunch that is OH SO YUMMY. Not to mention, walnuts are loaded with protein, healthy fats, and Omega-3!

Basic Banana Muffins Recipe: How To Make It

For raw materials, you should start with ripe bananas. When they’re nice and brown and mottled, you know they’re ready. Whisk the bananas in a bowl with the eggs, maple syrup, coconut oil and vanilla extract.

Mix dry and wet ingredients until combined. Don’t overdo it. It is good that there are still some pieces in the barn.

Add chopped walnuts to Banana Nut Muffins, or you can use any other nut of your choice. Then slowly fold in the walnuts.

Fill the pan about 3/4 of the way and pour into the lined casserole dish. Do not overfill the pan or the pan will overflow after baking.

Healthy Small Batch Banana Muffins

Baking bread in this pan helps them rise and become soft. If your baking powder is old, it won’t work, so use fresh baking powder instead. You also want to make sure you don’t overfill the pot with batteries. This will result in dense muffins.

Banana Nut Muffins require just the right amount of dry and liquid ingredients to ensure they are moist and not dry. Remember to use medium bananas and small bananas in this recipe. Adding oil to the pot will prevent the pan from becoming soggy and dry.

You can use the end of the plug to wash a banana or a potato peeler.
