It’s easy to make in 20 minutes using nutritious ingredients like applesauce, Greek yogurt and whole wheat flour. These healthy banana muffins are sweetened with honey (no refined sugar) but no one can say they’re good for you! Add chocolate chips or your favorite toppings for a special flavor.

Healthy Banana Muffins For Baby (blw)

Begin by combining the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and sea salt in a medium bowl and set aside for later use.

In a large bowl, combine bananas, eggs, vanilla, honey, applesauce, Greek yogurt, and melted butter. Add a few pieces of banana and stir until the mixture is smooth.

Once the dough is smooth, add the mixture if desired. These muffins are delicious without the toppings, although we usually like to make a healthy banana

Pour the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tin and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are set and a toothpick inserted into the middle of the muffins comes out with moist crumbs.

Healthy Banana Nut Muffins: Gluten Free & Sugar Free

Serve these healthy banana muffins warm or at room temperature! I recommend serving them with this Cinnamon Honey Butter, Homemade Peanut Butter, or Homemade Vanilla Almond Butter.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Aggressive mixing can cause the development of gluten in the flour. Banana muffins will come out rubbery and hard.

Using an ice cream scoop makes your batter easier to scoop and is the perfect size to fill each cup in your muffin tin!

This recipe is for healthy banana muffins. Add 1/2 cup to 1 cup of these additions without making any changes to the recipe.

Place unripe ones in a brown bag with ripe bananas or apples. Cover well and wait for 1-2 days. Ethylene gases from ripe fruit cause ripening.

Best Healthy Banana Bread (vegan, Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free, Oil Free)

You may want to try this oven method with ripe bananas. Place bananas on a baking sheet and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes. Allow them to cool, remove the black skin and mash.

I find the best way is to use my potato masher. I use one bowl to crush them as it saves me from washing dishes or many bowls. Bowls for great muffins!

You will find that bananas are easier to mash if they are slightly warmed. Wash the banana in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.

Yes, they’re good in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave and you’ll never know they’re frozen.

Either your bananas were too large (remember to use no more than 2 cups of mashed bananas) or you used too much baking powder.

You have mixed the dough too much. Mix just until all the ingredients are combined and use a gentle hand while mixing.

To prevent muffins from drying out, place in a resealable bag or airtight container and store on the counter for up to 3 days. Then if there are any leftovers (which never happens to us), refrigerate for another 3 days.
