It really depends on how you do it. Growing up, my mom made me a recipe that called for 5 tablespoons of butter and 1/2 cup of pure honey. They are loaded with fat and sugar.

Banana Oat Bread

Most of the recipes I see have 300+ calories and 50+ grams of carbs per chip. If you want to eat a slice of bread for breakfast or as a treat a few days a week, those macros are not very friendly.

You want to use very ripe bananas, maybe overripe. People often make banana bread when their bananas go bad.

I usually can’t find them in stores, so I sometimes have to wait up to a week for bananas to ripen at room temperature. Bananas should have black or brown stripes or be mostly black.

Sugar Free Mango & Banana Bread

When baking soda is combined with something acidic, it reacts, aerating and rising baked goods like yeast. I learned this while making my Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies. In that recipe, combine lemon juice with baking soda fruit in soft cookies with puffs.

Usually when baking soda is used in a recipe, it is also used with something acidic like buttermilk, lemon juice, or apples (used in this recipe).

Recipes like muffins, biscuits and quick breads need leavening like baking soda to give them the right texture.

I use organic monk fruit in this recipe to keep it sugar free, especially this mono-fruit baking sweetener. It measures 1:1 as table sugar and works great for baking. It has zero calories, no carbohydrates and will not spike your blood sugar.

Feel free to use your favorite sweetener. If you use stevia or artificial sweeteners, you may need to convert the servings. Since it has 1:1 monk results you can follow your standard method to calculate it.

If you are not concerned about the sugar content, you can also use 1/2 cup of pure honey.

I love the taste of butter on my bread, but I usually use half the amount of butter but unsweetened apple.

Whole Wheat Banana Bread

I do not recommend substituting all the butter described in this recipe for more applesauce. You will need some oil. You can substitute 2 1/2 tablespoons of butter for coconut oil or avocado oil.

Bread should be cooled completely before refrigerating. Wrap the bread in foil and place it in a resealable bag. It will freeze for up to 4 months.

Moist Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread

This low carb banana bread recipe is quick and easy to prepare and will always be perfectly moist and delicious.

The main ingredients (banana, almond flour, and cinnamon) provide plenty of flavor so you don’t need to use much sweetener. Just half a cup of stevia or another low-carb sweetener does the trick.

With only 5 grams of carbohydrates per serving, this recipe is everyone-friendly even if you eat it in moderation!

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 7.5 inch loaf tin with baking paper. Put aside.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add the softened banana, egg and melted coconut oil. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and foamy.

Step 4: Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until the batter is smooth and fully combined. Fold in crushed walnuts or pecans.
