Banana Loaf Recipe
You can store banana bread in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Well, maybe all of you. But when I shared the Banana Bread Breakfast idea in my book, Go Dairy Free, I was inundated with recipe requests. Since breakfast bread is a favorite, I decided to keep it in the 2nd edition of Go Dairy Free. There are 160 new and improved recipes in the new version, but I had to keep some of my favorites too. Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a new sugar-free, plant-based and dairy-free banana bread option!
Go Milk Free 2nd Edition is a GREAT resource. It contains approximately 450 pages of information, tips, and over 250 recipes. Food includes a wide variety of homemade shakes, nutritious options for everyday meals, and special items for cravings and parties. Banana breakfast with bananas falls into the nutrition category of the day.
This healthy banana bread recipe is free of added sugar (although I’ve included a moderately sweet option), and is perfect for baking. It’s just too much
Sweet from the banana itself, and you love to put on your favorite spread. On sweet mornings I go with nut butter and cinnamon. For sweet mornings, honey or chia jam (Fresh Strawberry & Rockin’ Raspberry chia jam recipes included in Go Dairy Free 2nd Edition) hit the spot.
Almond Flour Banana Bread (low Carb, Dairy Free)
This banana with milk recipe also requires no milk, eggs, nuts or soy. In fact, it’s naturally plant-based and vegan!
Here is a brief background
An important part of going dairy free was switching to home baked bread. At that time, every last loaf of bread in local stores contained milk in some form (milk powder, cheese, whey, caseinate, etc.). Vegan brands eventually emerged in popularity, but were still too expensive to warrant regular purchase.
I’ve learned to enjoy kneading the dough for good homemade yeast bread (great stress relief), but I don’t always have time for the process. So I wanted to create a quick and nutritious bread that I could use for my morning bread.
Low Carb Keto Banana Bread
With that in mind, this healthy bread is completely sugar-free, using only bananas for the sweet sensation. I find it perfect with a base of peanut butter, jam, butter spread, or honey, each of which adds its own level of flavor. And when I want a little extra sweetness, I add some indescribable sweetness to the food. I have included that as an option in the recipe below.
However, if you want a sugary banana bread dessert, I suggest you look elsewhere. If you want to have a great breakfast that leaves you feeling good, look no further.
, but decided to post it on the Internet as a sample. It was on the old recipe blog, and I’m finally updating it and converting it completely to this great site. I also took new photos and cleaned up the Go Dairy Free 2nd Edition recipe. But we didn’t want those years of feedback to go to waste. Here’s what others are saying about the healthy, guilt-free banana bread and banana breakfast and some variations they’ve tried.
I really liked this bread! It’s banana-y without being too sweet – the perfect base for a light dessert or spread (although I love it with almond butter!). This has been waking me up in the morning for a few days now.

Love that the banana bread is sugar free – perfect when cooking for a two year old. The recipe worked well for everyone but baking time. Pulled up after 40 minutes because we had to leave the house but that wasn’t done as well as I would have liked. She will bake longer next time and suspects that the bread will be seen. Thanks for the recipe
Applesauce Honey Banana Bread
I love dairy free banana bread! I add about 4 tablespoons of agave or honey to sweeten it a little. I have 3 kids (7, 4, and 2) and they eat them! In fact, I now make two batches and put them in the freezer. I am so glad I found this site. I’m hoping to pack in more treats since my oldest has a dairy allergy. Keep up the great work!
Now it’s time for banana bread! I like! It is moist, tasty, nutritious, and very easy to make. Thanks for the great recipe!

I made this last night and it was great! I hope it passes my husband and son’s approval! ? I only used about 1.5 C bananas, but I wish I had more. And I substituted w/w flour for 1/2 C of flour. Thanks for giving us a sugar free recipe!
