Adding a swirl to this Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is easier than you think. Cinnamon Swirl has three ingredients -> melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.

To make the cinnamon swirl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl and stir until a thick, dark syrup forms.

Pour half of your banana bread into the oiled pan, then pour half of the cinnamon on top of the cinnamon swirl, using a knife or toothpick to mix the two together. Don’t rotate too much. You want the swirl in the middle of the banana bread to be a little thick.

After finishing the first swirl, pour the remaining banana bread dough into the swirl and swirl the pan to settle things. Add the rest of the cinnamon on top of the banana bread and roll it up again! You can get fancy with this tourbillon!

You don’t need to put your bananas in the tent, but we recommend it. Nobody likes a hard, overcooked outer layer, which is what holds back the tentacles.

This recipe is a great way to use up all those frozen bananas in your freezer! Allow the bananas to thaw completely before mashing and measuring.

Most banana bread recipes are made with white sugar, wheat flour and vegetable oil, which is not good for you to handle. That’s why we created this banana bread recipe! It’s made with whole grains, natural sugars, and a little coconut oil.

How To Make Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

Allow the bananas to cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container, such as a gallon-sized plastic bag. We recommend keeping banana bread on the counter for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.

In a bowl, mix the ingredients for the cinnamon stick until well combined and set aside until ready to use.

Combine the ingredients for the banana bread in a blender and blend until smooth (note: if you don’t have a high-powered blender, you can blend everything in a bowl).

Pour half of the banana bread dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture. Pour the remaining banana bread dough on top and smooth into an even layer. Sprinkle the rest of the streusel topping on top.

Bake on the center rack of the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the bread from the oven and cover with aluminum foil. Put it back in the oven and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes or until the bread is cooked through.

Wow- the best paleo breakfast bread I’ve ever made! This is my first time using a blender for a quick dough and I think it gave me a smooth texture which I liked. Q- How do you store your almond flour-based baked goods in the freezer?

@Andrea I freeze all my baked goods made with cashew flour and they are great in the freezer.

I’m so glad you liked it, Andrea! I find all my almond flour baked goods hold up well in the freezer. We reheat in the microwave for 30 to 50 seconds straight from the freezer (no need to defrost). I usually slice the bread to make it easier to reheat one slice at a time (instead of freezing the bread) 😀 xoxoxoAll Recipes | Breakfast Dinner (food) | Dessert | Accompaniments | Soups | Hunger | Salads | Snack | Drinks | the bread

A big part of living an “earth-friendly” life is reducing waste in all areas of the home. Anyone who is aware of the impact their life choices have on our planet knows that things like recycling, composting kitchen waste and not buying things with wasted plastic packaging can be part of their everyday lives.

Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread Recipe

Although we call it bread, we all know that banana bread is actually sweeter than a regular bread recipe and often tastes like cake. Our Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread Recipe is a cross between a coffee cake and your classic banana bread recipe.

Cinnamon Swirl Banana & Apple Sauce Bread

An additional area these “green” people should focus on is eliminating or reducing kitchen waste. Every time food is thrown in the trash instead of food, not only is the food wasted, but all the fuel needed to grow the food, take it to market, and take it to your home. Thousands of pounds of food rot in landfills, unable to be composted to enrich another farmer’s soil.

That’s why every savvy consumer needs recipes like these for bananas. Bananas takes stained and overripe bananas and breathes new life into a delicious treat. Most people prefer the ripeness of their bananas. However, the problem is that once the bananas are ripe, it’s not uncommon for no one in the family to want to eat them. Instead of throwing bananas in the trash, you can use them to make this recipe, Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread.

Another great thing about banana bread is that it freezes well. Because of the high moisture content, it will be soft, moist and delicious in the same condition as when it came out of the freezer. Wrap the completely cooled banana bread tightly in a double layer of aluminum foil.
