But not until I whip up a few batches of this lovely Chocolate Zucchini Bread! OMG, it’s so moist, fluffy, so sweet and chocolatey. Double chocolate.

Easy too! A bowl and 10 minutes of preparation. I double the recipe and make it for the freezer, I do the same for healthy blueberry bread!

Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread Recipe

Storage: If the weather is warm, store the bread in a container for 1-2 days on the counter covered with a cloth. You don’t want to close it tightly, so moisture builds up and bacteria breeds on hot days.

Frozen: Any zucchini bread freezes beautifully. Place in a resealable bag, release air, seal and freeze for up to 3 months. Leave on the counter for 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. It will taste like fresh.

Storage: Store covered in a cool and dry place for up to 5 days. Freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

This recipe is very easy to make, but as always we will walk you through the process step by step and don’t forget to watch the video.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread With Applesauce

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, canola oil, egg, and vanilla until combined. Then add the white and brown sugar and mix or whisk until the mixture is smooth.

Healthy Vegan Zucchini Bread

When the mixture is smooth, add the dry ingredients and mix or beat until combined and there are no lumps or pockets of flour.

Transfer the chocolate zucchini bread batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven on the lower rack for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the chocolate zucchini bread cool in the loaf pan for at least 1 hour. After an hour, remove the loaf from the loaf pan, smooth the sides with a sharp knife, and transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.

Cut Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread into slices and serve slightly warm with cinnamon honey butter or homemade peanut butter!

Yes! I suggest you put it in a sieve before using it to get some extra water out, but don’t wring it out.
