Today I’m going to share the best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread! I tried quite a few recipes and finally got to try the perfect banana bread…which of course includes chocolate chips. 😉 They are always requested by friends and family and are super soft, cute and absolutely gorgeous!

You can leave out the chocolate chips, but in my opinion they make bread! Feel free to add some chopped walnuts or pecans as well. My family prefers to bake without them, so we stick to plain chocolate chips. And who can argue with that?! 😉

The best part about making this recipe is that it’s the perfect way to eat a ripe banana. I like bananas, but secondly, they get soft and choppy, I wouldn’t eat them without food. So what better way to use it than baking chocolate chip banana bread.

A banana that is soft, crisp and dark inside (similar to the picture above) is ideal for making bread. I prefer not to use bananas that have turned black as they taste more rotten to me. Just a personal preference!

I also like to freeze ripe bananas if I don’t plan on making this recipe right away. Just peel the banana, put it in a zip lock freezer bag and store it in the freezer. When ready to use, thaw at room temperature until it stops freezing. You can also use these frozen bananas in smoothies too!

You can easily turn this recipe into banana bread muffins with chocolate chips instead. Pour the mixture into a muffin tin lined with muffin liners or spray it with non-stick spray. This recipe will make 24 regular sized muffins. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until light brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Then transfer the muffins to a baking rack to cool.

This recipe makes two loaves, so I always like to freeze one for later. To freeze, simply wrap the bread tightly in tin foil, then place in a freezer bag. Store it in the freezer for 2-3 months.

Ah, banana bread. My daughter was obsessed with “pana bread”. I can’t even count how many times I’ve left a piece of breakfast or lunch behind. At least she eats fruit, right?

So last summer she and I set out to find the perfect banana bread recipe. Wow, is this one? I added mashed bananas to yogurt in my lemon bread and it was perfect. Soft, tender, moist for the day. And the banana flavor is very vivid. It is clear that her favorite is the chocolate chips.

There is something very tasty, but not too heavy, in the bananas and chocolate. A little sweet, a little rich, a little healthy. Therefore, this is pretty much the perfect banana bread.

An essential part of this recipe is the mixture of butter and oil. It stays hydrated because of the oil, but using half the butter helps it stay fluffy as well.

Bananas can be a little brown, but I actually used fully yellow bananas and it worked really well. The key is to make sure you have some solid banana pieces so that you get a better taste of the banana. Don’t try to puree it to a delicious consistency.

Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread — Easy Recipes

Mash the banana. This helps keep the bread very moist for several days. In addition, it has just the right amount of banana flavor.

Flour. Be sure to sift and measure carefully – place the flour in the measuring cup and place it on the flat side of the knife (known as a spoon and then a spirit level).

Salt. Try to use sea salt, if possible, as it won’t create an overly salty taste and is actually better for you!

Cinnamon. I love a lot of cinnamon! You can actually use very little, if you want. I also suggest using high quality cinnamon as the flavor is better.

Egg. Make sure this is room temperature so it mixes well with the other ingredients! If you forget to take it out beforehand, you can put it in a bowl of warm (not hot) water for 15 minutes.

Oil. I suggest avocado oil or grape seed oil, as they have a mild flavor but are healthier than vegetable or canola.

Vanilla. Use clean! The imitation will have a slightly different taste and will not give you the same pleasant taste.

Ghee. I suggest a European style, as it has less water. Be sure to use unsalted salt or omit the salt from the recipe. Be sure to thaw it without letting it boil, we don’t want brown butter.

Brown and granulated sugar. The brown sugar helps keep it moist while the granulated sugar helps it rise. Using both commands gives you the best of both worlds.

Chocolate pieces. clearly. I already used mini chocolate chips and they were perfect, but you can use any size and type of chocolate chips you like!

I used bananas without browning
