Banana Nut Bread Recipes Moist

Banana Nut Bread Recipes Moist – This is the best banana nut bread in town that uses just one bowl and simple ingredients. You’re only an hour away from moist, slightly sweet, and delicious banana bread! If you’ve given up on bananas, this recipe is for you. Similar to my classic banana bread and family favorite banana bread cookies, only topped with walnuts for a buttery crunch.

Today I am very happy to share the best banana nut bread recipe because I really prefer banana nut bread. Some people are banana bread and others prefer chocolate chips, but I’m in the nut category (although if I’m being honest, I’ve never met a banana bread I didn’t like). This is a delicious, consistent and moist banana bread recipe that almost doesn’t fail. It is the epitome of comfort and joy, and at the end of the week, I always seem to find bananas around.

I created this recipe using special ingredients to keep this bread as moist as possible. Things like mashed bananas, oil, butter and buttermilk all add moisture to banana bread so it’s still soft and chewy when baked. Also, watch the clock while cooking this so you don’t overcook! Overcooked, dark and dry banana bread is not tasty.

Walnut Banana Bread

I use this light loaf pan that doesn’t darken the sides too quickly. Since the loaves usually stay in the oven for about an hour, you want to limit the browning on the sides. If you use a darker non-stick metal pan, you’ll get really crispy edges. If you like crisp edges, then more power to you. But, I like a soft loaf in general and I think the lighter colored loaf is the way to go. If you pull your bread out of the pan and it’s crusty around the edges, wrap it in plastic for an hour or two while it’s lukewarm (it shouldn’t be mixed with hot). Smooths the edges right.

Nuts contain oils, and if they sit on your pantry shelf for too long, those oils will go rancid. This goes for any nut, not just walnuts! If you try a nut out of the package, you should be able to tell if it is rotten. (It should have a stronger, unpleasant taste.) Since half of this recipe is banana and the other half is basically nuts, you want to make sure you use the tastiest and freshest.

This is just a general rule for any type of bread recipe. If you want clean and nice cuts, wait until it cools completely. If you really don’t care, leave it out! Warm banana bread is hard to beat, even if it’s not perfect.

My recipe for banana nut bread obviously calls for nuts (the classic), but be sure to check out my adaptations below. See the recipe card printed below for complete recipe details and ingredient measurements.

Add the dry ingredients slowly to the buttermilk to make a smooth dough. Stir in the chopped nuts. Pour into the prepared loaf tin and add more nuts on top.

Bake until a toothpick comes out clean with a few moist crumbs attached. Cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from the hot pan and slicing.

Store uneaten banana bread in a ziplock bag or airtight container to keep it as moist and soft as possible, usually 4 days on the counter. After that, it’s still good to eat, you’ll just notice a little dryness.

For the frosting: Let the bread cool completely. Wrap the bread in 2-3 layers of plastic or aluminum foil before placing in a ziplock bag or freezer safe container. Banana bread stays fresh for 3 to 4 months in the freezer.

The Best Banana Nut Bread (fluffy And Moist!)

I like to eat a portion with breakfast or as a small snack in the afternoon. Sometimes my family even eats it for dessert – just heat it in the microwave for 10 seconds and serve it with vanilla ice cream. Delicious!

This recipe makes about two pans of Banana Nut Bread – because one just isn’t enough!

Wet material Mix the sugar, oil and eggs in a mixer. Add vanilla, sour cream and banana.

If you don’t have sour cream, you can substitute with Greek yogurt. Sometimes I mash the bananas separately and add them to the mixture. Very ripe bananas work best – they should be soft and with a minimum of blackness as they make the bread moist and tasty.

What is the best nut in this recipe? Walnuts are our nut of choice to add to banana bread. We like to toast them before adding them, but they are also great unroasted. Chopped pecans are our second choice.
