If you’re a fan of the blog, you’ve probably already seen this recipe posted here. Now I’m reposting this one because it’s just as good!! I made this recipe a month ago and froze one loaf for another time. Because I’m a busy mom of a newborn, which was pretty genius on my part, because last week I crushed up a slice or two for a quick breakfast with Greek yogurt, a drizzle of honey, and extra walnuts. Even just a slice with butter is great! So I decided to share this recipe again with some new photos to remind you how amazing it is and to get this recipe to you as soon as possible. I have to try it!

Not only is this banana bread a great way to use up old bananas, but this banana bread also makes a great frozen meal to take out anytime you’re in a crunch for breakfast and need a sweet post-meal snack. The perfect accompaniment to tea (yes…I love tea time snacks!). Unlike regular banana bread… my recipe has very little sugar, honey, oats and my favorite… walnuts!

You can easily add mix-ins like nuts or chocolate chips, or keep it as a “blank canvas” for a nice butter or peanut butter spread for breakfast.
Whole Wheat Banana Nut Bread
I haven’t tried using any other flours, but whole wheat flour should work fine. If it’s gluten-free, your best options will be 1:1 gluten-free flour or oat flour. Almond flour can work, but it may not stick well enough.

I recommend doubling or tripling this batch of Honey Greek Yogurt Banana Bread because it freezes really well and I love being able to take one loaf at a time and defrost it for a homemade treat. It’s not a lot of work to make more, so I like to make extra loaves of banana bread and freeze them for when we want more.
I love that banana bread is cheap to make but so delicious. I picked up all the ingredients for this delicious banana bread at my local Walmart and everything was affordable.
