Desserts and desserts are my food and I love trying new things! Although I like to use it to make cookies and cakes, if I have bananas left on my table, I like to make banana bread, almond flour.

What I like about this banana bread is how diverse it is. It’s easy to put in most of the food out there and it has no almond flavor!

Start by mixing your dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine your wet ingredients and mix well until combined. Then mix your wet and dry ingredients until well combined. Paint your chocolate bar if used.

Now transfer your dough to the bread pan. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean. Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into slices.

Almond flour is not as expensive as traditional flour when baking powder is added to it. However, it does provide some structure.

I have been trying to make paleo banana muffins for years and thought maybe I was in trouble. So I tried some recipes from others and I have to say I did not like any of them.

If you do not have almond flour on hand but still want your sugar-free bananas, try my gluten-free banana bread. Unfortunately, I do not know the yield or duration of baking like muffins. I think it will yield 12 muffins and you will have to bake it for 15-22 minutes.

I want to make all these sugary banana cakes, but they are not very tasty. So I added two tablespoons of coconut sugar and it made a difference.

If you want to give these almond cakes to toddlers, you can keep the coconut sugar out. Unless he has done good things and should be happy with them. 🙂

To make them vegan, I went with my first choice of vegan eggs and used chia eggs. But they are thick and not fully baked.

I have to say the vegan version is worse than an egg. You need to smooth them out as they do not spread when baked.

If you live outside of North America, be sure to use the right almond powder. In the UK, almond flour = ground almond powder, a product not available in the United States.

Paleo & Gluten Free Classic Banana Bread

Or at least it wasn’t a few years ago when I checked it out. The same is true in Germany. Translated as almond flour = ground almond powder.

All you need is almonds! Normal almonds are not as good as almond flour, but that is what I use without major problems.

The recipe will turn out greasy, but usually it is not a big deal. It makes cookies even more spreadable!
